Terms & Conditions
Welcome to Bonaire Bay Rentals. By making a reservation or staying at one of our properties, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. General
Bonaire Bay Rentals acts as property manager and/or representative on behalf of property owners.
By confirming a reservation, guests acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
The primary guest making the reservation must be at least 21 years old.
2. Reservations & Payments
A reservation is considered confirmed once the required payment or deposit has been received.
A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total reservation amount is required to confirm the booking, unless otherwise stated.
The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days before arrival. For reservations made within 30 days before arrival, the full amount is due immediately.
Payment schedules may vary depending on the property, booking platform, or selected rate.
Failure to complete payment within the requested timeframe may result in cancellation of the reservation.
Bonaire Bay Rentals reserves the right to refuse or cancel reservations at its discretion.
Guests are responsible for checking the booking confirmation and notifying Bonaire Bay Rentals of any errors within 48 hours.
3. Cancellation Policy
Unless otherwise stated during booking:
• Cancellations made more than 30 days before arrival:
The reservation amount will be refunded minus the non-refundable deposit.
• Cancellations made within 30 days before arrival:
The reservation becomes fully non-refundable.
Cancellations must be submitted in writing by email and are only valid once confirmed by Bonaire Bay Rentals.
No-shows, unused nights, and early departures are non-refundable.
We strongly recommend purchasing travel and cancellation insurance.
4. Check-In & Check-Out
Unless stated otherwise:
Check-in: from 4:00 PM
Check-out: before 10:00 AM
Late check-outs without prior approval may incur additional charges.
Guests are responsible for following all check-in instructions provided before arrival.
5. Use of the Property
Guests agree to treat the property respectfully and comply with all local laws and regulations.
The following are strictly prohibited unless approved in writing:
• Parties or events
• Excessive noise
• Illegal activities
• Unauthorized visitors
• Exceeding maximum occupancy
• Commercial filming or shoots
• Smoking inside the property
• Pets
• Subletting, transferring, or reselling the reservation
Violation of these rules may result in immediate termination of the stay without refund.
6. Damages & Liability
Guests are fully responsible for any damages caused during their stay by themselves or members of their group.
Any damage or technical issue must be reported immediately.
A security deposit or credit card hold may be required before check-in. This may be used for damages, missing items, excessive cleaning, smoking violations, lost keys, or unauthorized guests.
The security deposit or hold will normally be released within 14 days after departure, subject to inspection.
Bonaire Bay Rentals reserves the right to charge guests for:
• Property damage
• Excessive cleaning
• Missing items
• Smoking violations
• Lost keys
• Unauthorized guests
If damages exceed the security deposit, guests remain fully liable for all additional costs.
7. Limitation of Liability
Guests acknowledge that staying in a tropical island environment and using amenities such as pools, balconies, stairs, ocean access, docks, and outdoor facilities involves inherent risks.
Bonaire Bay Rentals and/or property owners cannot be held liable for:
• Accidents or injuries
• Theft or loss of personal belongings
• Illness or allergic reactions
• Internet or utility interruptions
• Temporary technical failures
• Weather conditions
• Marine life or insects
• Construction or neighborhood disturbances
• Force majeure events beyond reasonable control
Liability is strictly limited to the total rental amount paid for the reservation.
8. Technical Issues
While we do our best to maintain all amenities and facilities in proper condition, uninterrupted operation cannot always be guaranteed.
This includes but is not limited to:
• WiFi
• Electricity
• Air conditioning
• Hot water
• Kitchen appliances
• Plumbing
• Pool systems
Technical issues do not automatically entitle guests to refunds or compensation. Reasonable efforts will always be made to resolve problems as quickly as possible.
Regular garden, pool, pest-control, or technical maintenance may take place during the stay and cannot reasonably be refused.
Utilities are included for normal guest use. Excessive use of electricity or water may be charged to the guest where clearly excessive or outside normal use.
9. Force Majeure
Bonaire Bay Rentals shall not be liable for cancellations, interruptions, or inability to fulfill reservations due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:
• Natural disasters
• Storms or hurricanes
• Government restrictions
• Pandemics
• Utility outages
• Fire
• Flooding
• Strikes
• War or civil unrest
In such cases, reservations may be modified or cancelled without additional liability.
10. Privacy
Guest information is handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws and is used solely for reservation management, communication, legal obligations, and payment processing.
Personal information is never sold to third parties.
11. Security Cameras
Where present, security cameras are strictly limited to exterior areas for safety and security purposes.
No cameras are installed inside private living spaces, bedrooms, or bathrooms.
12. Access to the Property
Bonaire Bay Rentals reserves the right to access the property when reasonably necessary for:
• Emergencies
• Maintenance
• Repairs
• Inspections
• Safety concerns
• Suspected violations of these Terms & Conditions
Whenever reasonably possible, prior notice will be given.
13. Complaints
Any issues or complaints must be reported during the stay so we have the opportunity to resolve them.
Complaints submitted only after departure may not qualify for compensation.
14. Website & Listing Accuracy
Bonaire Bay Rentals aims to keep all website, listing, pricing, and property information accurate and up to date. However, obvious errors or omissions do not create a binding obligation.
Photos and descriptions are intended to provide a general representation of the property and amenities and may vary slightly from the actual situation.
15. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws applicable in Bonaire and the Dutch Caribbean jurisdiction.
HOUSE RULES
We kindly ask all guests to respect the property, neighbors, and island environment.
During Your Stay
• Respect quiet hours between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM
• No parties or events
• No smoking inside the property
• No pets allowed
• Do not exceed the maximum occupancy
• Only registered guests are allowed on the property unless approved beforehand
• Please turn off air conditioning when leaving the accommodation
• Treat the home and furnishings with care
• Report damages immediately
Pool & Ocean Safety
Use all water facilities at your own risk.
Children must always be supervised.
Please be cautious around wet surfaces and ocean access areas.
Departure
Before check-out, we kindly ask guests to:
• Dispose of trash properly
• Leave dishes reasonably clean
• Turn off lights and air conditioning
• Lock doors and windows
PRIVACY POLICY
At Bonaire Bay Rentals, we respect your privacy.
We only collect personal information necessary for:
• Processing reservations
• Guest communication
• Payment handling
• Legal obligations
We do not sell or share personal data with third parties unless legally required or necessary for providing our services.
